Ask.com Mobile wins best mobile site at Webby Awards

The Webby Awards, the leading international honor for the Web, today named Ask Mobile (http://mobile.ask.com) the Best Mobile Site of 2007. In addition to the prestigious Webby Award, Ask Mobile was chosen as the People's Voice winner by the voting public.
"The Webby Awards honors the outstanding work that is setting the standards for the Internet," said David-Michel Davies, executive director of The Webby Awards. "Ask.com Mobile's Winner selection is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators."
Since launching in October 2006, Ask Mobile has generated positive feedback and accolades from press and users, and was recently noted as a top mobile site by dotMobi, the leading provider of Internet addresses designed specifically for mobile phones. Designed to minimize keystrokes, increase navigability on small displays and accelerate page loads, Ask Mobile offers a special interface and search tools to help searchers find what they are looking for faster.

The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Jamie Oliver, Internet inventor Vinton Cerf, and RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser. The 11th Annual Webby Awards received a record 8,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states.
